    It's funny that nut allergies are ignored but everything, EVERYTHING in Brazil has a label indicating whether or not it contains gluten.

    Even water.

    I feel your pain on this... I have a fairly severe tree nut allergy and it's really difficult to get a straight answer on whether foods are safe when I visit Brazil. At least tree nuts aren't as widely used as peanuts - that must be pretty rough for you!

    I always crack up about the "no gluten" labels on the water bottles! Don't Brazilians find this a bit insulting to their intelligence?!
