Breaking Dawn, of the Twilight series, has been filming in Rio recently. Pictured to the left are the stars waving from a suite at the Copacabana Palace. Apparently filming wrapped up over the weekend and the big stars (Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart) have now departed. I personally haven't seen any of the movies or read the books, but am much more interested to now that it was filmed here in Rio and in Paraty. Stangely enough supposedly the rest is being filmed in Canada.
Filming in Brazil was of course not without drama. After the recent shootout at the Intercontinental Hotel in Sao Conrado, the Twilight cast and crew were nervous about filming in Brazil. Apparently they had a change of heart and continued on. Rio residents in Lapa made international headlines last week by setting the set's port-o-potties on fire in protest of streets and businesses being blocked off to accomodate the filming.

Twilight's Breaking Dawn was filmed in Brazil? Really? Wow, what's with Brazil that captured Twilight? The snowy environment in Twilight movies seems way opposite than what it is in Brazil but almost all is possible in movies. Still I am proud of Brazil. Twilight in Brazil? Maybe Edward and Jacob will have a football match in the third installment of the movie. Kidding! But still it is awesome to know that they filmed it in Brazil!
