Good to know. I'll be there sooner than later!

how do i get in on that book exchange? I have tons of good ones that I've already read!

I too would like to get in on your book exchange Mrs. DRL :)

Another good option: IBEU in Copacabana (near the intersection of NS Copacabana and Santa Clara) has two good libraries stocked with books in English- one for children, the other for adults. Anyone can get a library card and check out up to five books at a time. The adult library also has current magazines and periodicals.

    Instituto Brasil-Estados Unidos
    Av. N. Sra. de Copacabana, 690 – 5º andar
    Copacabana – RJ – Cep: 22050-001
    Tel/Fax: 2548-8430

Molly, great tip gonna check it out. I found a link on their website with more information (albeit in Portuguese) about the library:

Mrs. DRL, I mentioned this post on my blog while I was writing about an online bookseller that delivers US books to Brazil cheap/donates profits to fund literary projects around the world:

Tricia if you open the IBEU link with Google Chrome, the site can be translated into English. I don't speak Portuguese, and I was able to read the entire site in English thanks to this nifty Google feature!
