    Love your post.
    I remember a few “saias Justas” that I had in US. My husband got pneumonia during Thanksgiving Holiday and a year later he had to have back surgery. Even though my English is quite good, it is hard to explain to a really busy surgeon that he has to speak a little slow, so I can understand everything he is saying ; )

    PS: Saia Justa is a Portuguese expression for awkward situations and it can be used for embarrassed situations as well.

    Thank you for the tip - that is a new expression for me (believe it or not!) that certainly would have come in handy multiple times and will in the future :)
