In Rio, there is no shortage of lessons to learn, secrets to uncover, or tricks to teach.
Every visitor that comes our way shows us a little something about this city that is new to us. My dad & uncle are currently visiting, and they are no exception. For example, I had no idea that each of the "posto's" or lifeguard stations on the beach have washrooms. I always just scurried the couple of blocks home when I had to go when spending time on the beach. This is very useful information.
Also, their fascination with this street performer who has been set up outside the Caesar Park Hotel in Ipanema has been a learning experience. They have both lived in small towns in Western Canada most of their lives so this was a particularly special treat for them.... I must say I have never seen two straight men so intrigued by a gay dancer!
I must admit his little flotation device is quite interesting!
This is their favorite part of his act. Besides the part at the end when he tells off the drivers of the cars which are stopped and don't give him money. Which I admit is quite entertaining!
