As they often do, you can do one of a few things...
1) Cry about it (see how much that one helps...) You can even scream. It's so loud that no one will even notice, I promise.
2) Shrug and say "LIZARB" - a phrase Mr. DRL & I have coined which essentially is Brazil backwards and we refer to when discussing anything that we feel is "ass-backwards" about Brazil.
3) Gaze at the beautiful scenery and breathe deeply.
4) Watch this hilarious video (DISCLAIMER: not around children, not at work, not if you are sensitive to swearing, and not if you lack a sense of humor) and take its powerful message to heart.
Our phrase is "estamos en Chile" - basically the same idea of "we're in Chile, what did you expect?!" Haven't seen the video yet since I'm at work, but I'll have to check it out later.
