Sometimes I question if blogging is worthwhile (admittedly it's mostly when people are doing their best to convince me it's not) or if I am dedicating too much or too little time to my blog and increasing or decreasing its effectiveness. For example, I feel that if I spend too much time on the computer actually blogging, I am missing out on experiences to blog about. If I spend too little, there may be things readers don't hear about which would benefit them. So I try to balance this and spend an appropriate amount of time on this blog (ie most of my time living, not so much blogging!), and to keep it fresh. Still, sometimes I wonder how it is received. But then, it's almost like DRL readers read my mind and and I get this fabulous flow of feedback which motivates me once again and reminds me of the purpose of my blog, to share my experiences in hopes that it saves others some angst, wrinkles and grey hair along the way. To inform and inspire.
To everyone who has emailed and commented on the blog, thank you, I appreciate it more than you could ever know. I am overwhelmed by the amazing emails I receive from readers around the world and swear it is the CURE to blogger burnout. Because of the feedback I receive I make more of a point now of commenting or emailing people when I enjoy their sites as well. (Paying the good energy forward, one could say)...
Why would people try to convince you not to blog?! That's just nuts. If blogging makes you happy then do it. And in the mean time, i will enjoy reading what you've written. :)
