I enjoy keeping the Brazilians entertained...
We bought a bunch of palms in Barra last week and had them delivered to our friends' place, so I needed to get them from point A to point B (being our house). It's about 6 blocks away. So I decided to grab the shopping cart from our building and take it over to bring the plants back.
First of all, a shopping cart is a fairly "rattly" thing to take down the street but the decibel level is a whole new thing when you push it across portugese stone... yikes.
Secondly, women just don't do these things here in Leblon. Except for me of course...
Walking down the street with an empty shopping cart - well to put it mildly, I got a lot of strange looks. The way back was not as bad as I was semi-hidden by the plants... and at least people could tell why I had the cart...
So if you saw a crazy lady with a shopping cart in Leblon yesterday - that was me!
Ha, ha! I tend to do loco things all the time. I have definitely received many strange looks!
It has been raining here as well. I just got back from a trip to the US and I'm really enjoying the Brazilian winter.
