Stop laughing, dad. (Given that my dad thinks that the amount of luggage I have when I return to Canada is nothing short of atrocious, I predict that he will be rolling on the floor at the idea that I am advising anyone on this topic.) It's true, I end up bringing a lot of stuff down here with me. Did you happen to see my post on the cost of toys here? Enough said.
Like any mom, I do my best to make sure the canadoca is dressed to the nines, despite the fact that I have been a complete fashion disaster since I "fell pregnant" (as my brit friends would say). These days you will find me wearing whatever mismatched, ill-fitting ensemble I've managed to frantically pull on as she empties my makeup or underwear drawer as I hurry to dress in the morning. She thinks she's 15, and is obsessed with trying on bras and lipstick, but that is another blog post.
Keeping her wardrobe organized is a total pain when traveling. I mean, come on, I can barely keep myself organized. Baby clothes are so small and they all get mixed up! Fear not, I have come up with some solutions. I used to put each category of clothing (sleepers, onesies, bottoms, dresses) in separate ziplock bags in a suitcase, which does work okay, but a better solution - a large hanging cosmetic bag with zippered pouches so that you can just hang baby's clothes in the closet, yet everything stays separated and organized.
Here's one I found online:
Those ziplock bags? Use them to put together a few quick outfits to easily grab for outings, etc.
