Tried (it took about 5 people working there to get us the bagels, including one person trying to translate the English menu into Portuguese for us). They're basically bagel-shaped dense bread, but not bagels. Better than nothing though.

oh that's exciting! That's one thing I really miss when I'm in Brazil! By the way, wanted to mention I'm excited about being able to read the blog again! For a little while there it was password protected, so thanks for taking that off, because I really enjoy your entries!

I've been thinking in Copacabana beach! there are to many places and it'd be nice if you can add some pictures about it. Beyond Copacabana, there are two small beaches, one inside Fort Copacabana and other, right after it: Diabo Beach. 23jj

*Not really bagels. Extremely expensive (R7 for ONE) and seemed like just bread in the shape of a bagel with some cream cheese. Very sad!
