Ok this did not actually happen to me per se... but I feel violated just the same...
So as I have mentioned we moved into our new apartment. Did I mention though that we do not have any blinds or window treatments? (YET). Anyhow. One of the many buildings we can see directly into from our apartment is a little beauty shop. So, if you glance in that direction at any time of day you can see women under the dryers, waiting, etc. I never really pay much attention, it's not nearly as exciting as trying to figure out if it is a virgin mary or statue of Elvis across the street in the other direction. The jury's still out.
So, late last week I glanced across as I was cutting through the den, and saw that there was someone in a little room in the beauty shop getting um, waxed. With the blinds open. I stopped dead in my tracks and at just that moment the esthetician glanced up and we make eye contact (mine incredulous I am sure), hers an icy glare, as she hurried over to the window to close the blinds. Um, thanks! If you hadn't noticed, I don't have the luxury of having blinds right now so would DEFINITELY appreciate you closing yours... perfect!
I mean, it's not as though I really saw anything, but still!
So buyer beware, make sure your wax lady has blinds. And that she uses them. Because if she doesn't, a lot of people could see... probably not what you had in mind!

Thanks for the tip, I should take a closer look next time.

LOL, I thought this is about the dangers of bikini waxing. But yeah you're quite right. I think bikini waxing should be done in a completely enclosed room to avoid unwelcome...uhm...sightseers. You don't want your clinic to be famous in a bad light.

Follow some brazilian waxing tips:
#Avoid showering & making the hair wet prior to waxing. Hair absorbs the water making it soft & less likely to adhere well to the wax. Hard hair is simpler to pull off.
#Be sure to check a small area of skin first to make sure there is no acute sensitivity or allergic reaction to pubic hair removal using waxing.
#Hair ought to be at least 1/8 inch long. If it is not wait until it reaches this length.

Whoa! That was totally embarrassing. Ladies, if you decide to wax at home, make sure that the doors are locked and the blinds are closed. Secure the services of a professional aesthetician if you're not sure what of to do.

We must have just missed each other in Venice! On the train from Florence, we sat next to two Brazilian couples who were also headed that way (and none of us were traveling together!)

Why would someone perform bikini waxing beside or in front of an open window? That's absurd. Things like that actually happen. Before going through any hair wax treatment, choosing where and what place would be most appropriate is important. It's good to be extra careful these days.
